we won't drown in the summer sound

I wish it would rain in Los Angeles more often. A cleansing rain like Franklinville has, when it starts pouring without any wind so you can go out with an umbrella and your bare feet and splash around like a 5 year old. I hate to say it but I almost can't wait until winter here so I can come to work and snuggle up in a hoodie and watch it rain. Some things about NY really get taken for granted you know? Not that I'll ever miss digging Amanda's car out of 4 feet of snow in the middle of March, but I think you get the idea.

I've been going on a lot of photo adventures lately. I'm trying this new thing where I look for the most beautiful part of everyday situations and tangible things. I feel like if I can find it and photograph it, I'll never forget it. And when I think about ugly or ordinary things from now on, I'll associate it with something a little better. I came across a blog somewhere in which a man documented the Best Thing That Happened Today every day for a year, and I loved that idea so much that I started doing the same (though the best things are often things that I can't talk about online for one reason or another, so it will just remain in a notebook for my eyes only).

What do you think the limits are for telling someone when you love them? I'm not considering it anywhere in my own life, it's just something I've thought about. There have been instances where I've opened my mouth and wished I had thought it through better, and there have been times when I've felt so strongly that I wished I could stand on the top of the world and sing it at the top of my lungs but never said a word. Is there a generic process that you're supposed to follow or does it really make it better to risk sounding crazy to prove you're in love? I can tell you one thing, after I finally got the courage to tell someone I loved them I may have felt silly but I never regretted it. I think sometimes it's just better to get it out and let someone else deal with it when you've dealt with it too much.

I missed school today for a very brief second. Not even drinking and going out or anything like that--I honestly missed studying. I miss curling up in bed with a notebook and making a study guide. Which is hilarious, because I never studied in college. I think I made about 5 study guides throughout the entire 4 years I was in college. They were probably all for accounting too, which would have proven to be a huge waste of time since we all know how bad I did in accounting.

I'm so addicted to caffeine from this job. It's going to get me in trouble. I'm going to be like Ashley Jaques.

Your blogs are like poetry readings in a way. Maybe I'm the only one who would understand what I'm talkin about...so be it. But just reading it, I can get a feeling of how you would speak it, what your face/hand movements might be and just a sense of what you really feel. Maybe you are just good with words and describing every situation to something else that has nothing to do with it. But either way, I do hope everything works out for you the way you finally deserve it to. Its been fun with our talks, even when we end up talking about a Thanksgiving feast haha! YOU WANT BREASTS OR THIGHS DAMNIT!

Collarbones..FOREVER!
